Since living up here I have been trying to figure out the birds that check out the feeders and I have managed to get a few of them but the darn suckers just move so fast that sometimes it's hard to differentiate them from another species that has similarities. Since it seems a shame to hoard the pictures that I get I thought I would share a few and who knows maybe someone else will know what they are called
baby squirrel - I'm trying to get it used to me so that I can hand feed it
Chestnut backed Chickadee - have lots of these visit
Rufus hummingbird(male) the female is green tinged and I'm pretty sure I saw a baby hummer at the feeder the other day
WEstern Tanager- first sighting of this bird and wow is it pretty but unfortunately it is not a bird feeder type and sticks to high trees
And of course what feeder would be complete with the Stellar Jays. It's always fun to watch them fight with the squirrels for the peanuts
